In 2017 the video by the US-American rapper made its rounds through social media on a global scale. “La Diaspora” garnered Nitty Scott much deserved attention even outside of conscious rap circles. That the musician who already grabbed the mic at the age of 14, had already previously worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Action Bronson – don’t mention it. Nitty Scott openly criticizes the fact that female* rapper are often only mentioned on relevant platforms and articles whenever they are centered around female* rap, and stands up for gender equality in Hip Hop.
